Mrs. Bik Ngor Wong, age 85, peacefully passed away Tuesday morning, July 7, 2020 after living an extraordinary life filled with love, joy, and happiness.
Born March 25, 1935 in Canton, China, Mrs. Wong emigrated to Houston, Texas in 1976 with her husband and young family in the hopes of a better future. From an early age, Mr. and Mrs. Wong instilled a strong work ethic in their children and through their love and support, they helped their children achieve the safe and prosperous future that they had always dreamed of.
A devoted wife for over 65 years, Mrs. Wong was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kwok Ming Wong, in 2003.
Affectionately nicknamed Po-Po and Ah-Ma by her loved ones, she is survived by her 6 children (Nancy, Alice, Tony, Peter, Connie, and Jimmy), 12 grandchildren (Kenny, Jennifer, Edward, Elizabeth, Justin, Anita, Amy, Michael, Patrick, Sabrina, Christina, and Joseph), and 2 great grandchildren (Alexander and Emilia).
She is also survived by her 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 sons-in-law (Jimmy, Norman, and David), 3 daughters-in-law (Linh, Mary, and Michelle), 1 grandson-in-law (Michael), and 3 granddaughters-in-law (Josephine, Diem, and Maria).
As a devoted wife, loving mother, and kindhearted grandmother for three generations, Mrs. Wong truly defined what it means to be a family matriarch. Her world revolved around her family, and there was nothing she would not do to make them happy. She was a strong, determined, and fiercely independent woman whose sharp wit and joyous laugh will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Wong’s memorial service will be held at 11am CT on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Winford Funerals Southwest via livestream. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at 1pm CT on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Forest Park Cemetery.
