With overwhelming sadness, we share the passing of Dilip Shah on Sunday, April 18th, 2021. Dilip will be tremendously missed by his devoted wife, Dharmishtha (Dhamu) Shah, his beloved daughter, Purvy, his cherished grandson, Niam, his respected son-in-law, Nilay, his caring family, and countless friends.
Dilip will be remembered for his devotion and unwavering commitment to family. After coming to the United States at the age of 25 to work as a mechanical engineer, Dilip and Dhamu started a family and helped his three younger brothers, and their families, settle in Houston. Together with Dhamu, Dilip was deeply involved with Houston's Jain temple and community. Dilip will always be remembered for having a helping hand, when and where needed, whether at the temple, at a family function, or to a friend - he was always there with a smile.
Dilip's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the health-care professionals at Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land, for their extraordinary care and commitment during these past several weeks.
We lost Dilip too soon, but we find solace and comfort in the hope that he and Rahul are together and in our cherished memories and moments with him. Dilip will forever live in our thoughts, minds and hearts.
