Today, we gather to celebrate the life of Gumercindo Rocha, a beloved member of our community in Monterrey. Gumercindo, who passed away at the age of 84, was a kind and compassionate man who touched the lives of so many people. He is survived by his loving wife Maria Del Carmen, his children Juan Antonio, Evangelina, Norma, Olga, Maria also known as Carmen, Leon (Jr.) ., and Jennifer.
Gumercindo was born in Mexico, but made his home here in Houston, where he lived with his family for many years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and was loved by all who knew him. He was a man of great warmth and kindness, and always had a great sense of humor.
He was a man of great character and integrity, and lived his life with a sense of ease, almost as if nothing bothered him, but this was because Gumercindo was also a man of deep faith and lived his life with few worries. He was a devoted member of his church. He was a true example of the love and compassion that we all strive to embody.
The passing of Gumercindo has left a void in our lives, but we can take comfort in the knowledge that he is now at peace. He lived a life filled with love, kindness, and compassion, and his legacy will continue to inspire us for years to come. We will miss him deeply, but we will never forget the impact he had on our lives.
Rest in peace, Gumercindo Rocha. You were truly a special person, and you will be deeply missed.
