Obituary for Harrison Nguyen

On Thursday, November 26, 2020, Harrison Nguyen, loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 31 at Memorial Hermann Hospital SW where he was also born on Aug. 27, 1989.
Harrison had a passion in figuring out and understanding how everything worked. He liked taking apart toy cars and guns and understanding the mechanics of everything. To do that he had a multi tool and pocket knife he carried everywhere. He liked being prepared and organized, especially at work where he was very goal driven. If he’s not tinkering with something, he’s out biking, paintballing, shooting, or eating out with his friends. He started playing paintball while in high school in Northern California and played collegiately for the University of Texas Longhorns. Later, he joined the Houston paintball community and contributed to the scene for over 12 years until his untimely death. His friends and teammates enjoyed his jokes, silly nature, and camaraderie. Harrison frequented restaurants and if you’ve ever eaten with him, you’ve noticed how he thoroughly enjoys his food by smacking and it’s not in an off-putting way, but so that you also enjoy your own food. He also enjoyed cake, but before eating it, he loved to smash some in his family’s face if it was their birthday. You had to watch him right after blowing out your candles, but of course it was inevitable. One of his favorite past time would be to watch shows on his laptop with the family’s dogs, Chester and Albert. He liked their company on his bed while he cracked up over the funny scenes. He did love to laugh a lot. We will all miss his good nature, humor, and genuinity dearly.
