Obituary for Joseph Karippayil Chacko

Joseph Karippayil Chacko was born on March 10th, 1949, in Kumily, Idukki to his late parents Chacko and Mariamma. He completed his education and started his career as a teacher. He taught English Literature. He got married in 1976 to his beloved wife Claramma Joseph, and had 3 daughters, Deepa, Deepthy, and Dinu. He moved to the U.S. in 2005 and continued his passion for writing poems. He published a book called “The joyous life” in 2009. His hobbies included reading books, going on walks, and listening to music. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Not only did he have the kindest soul, but he was also devoted to his faith. He motivated his children with the following, “The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. He touched so many hearts through his kind acts and selfless deeds. He lived his life to the fullest and he left this world better than he found it. Although he will be missed tremendously, we know he is watching over us.
