Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Lê, 86, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2020 at 9:30 PM at home in the arms of her children after being visited and receiving well-wishes from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She received the Tibetan End-of-Life Ritual Prayers offered by the Rinpoche of Drepung Loseling Insitute of Texas as well as the offering of Hoa Thuong Thich Hue Hoa of Linh Son Southwest Temple .
Lê was born on November 11, 22 , 1933 in Trung Chánh Hóc Môn Viet Nam. She was immensely proud to be Buddhist, her Buddhist name was Mỹ Quang. Lê’s love for learning more about Buddhism lead her on many trips where she visited over 60 temples across India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam and greater Houston.
Lệ is survived by her four daughters, daughter in law ; an adoptive daughter and their families, extended families, eighteen grand children , and eight great grandchildren,
As Buddha said, “Life is a journey. Death is a return to earth. The universe is like an inn. The passing years are like dust.” Lê enjoyed her journey and she is pleased to move to the new beginning.
The viewing & visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 11am to 7pm at Winford Funerals Southwest following the encoffin ceremony Lể Nhập Quan, Phát Tang, và Cầu Siêu
Lể di quan và hỏa táng will be held on Thursday, November 19 starting at 9am.
Cremation ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 19 starting at 9am.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers all contributions to be made to Drepung Loseling Institute of Texas 11510 S. Garden Street, Houston, Texas, 77071, Linh Son Southwest Temple.
