Obituary for Patty Pi-Lien Horng 洪碧蓮

Patty Pi-Lien Horng, was born on February 10, 1959 in Taiwan. She has resided in Houston, TX for over 40 years and passed away, unexpectedly, on May 2, 2020 in her home in Bellaire, TX at the age of 61. Patty was born as the baby sister of 4 siblings and the only girl to Song Rong Horng and Su-Hon Horng
She was raised in Taiwan moved to the United States at a young age and befriended many. She met and married her then husband and the father of their 2 children. She worked and helped to manage a family restaurant for almost 2 decades and continues to work in the restaurant industry as long as she worked. Patty dabbled in Avon, and enjoyed life through shopping, karaoke and of course casinos.

Everyone who knows Patty, knows that she has a kind heart and wants to be in the know. She enjoyed family time and is close to all of her siblings and friends made throughout the years. She was always willing to help, if she could and remembers details of everything like it was yesterday. She definitely loved life, although handed some challenging obstacles. She was a proud mother, a respectful daughter and a caring sister to her 3 older brothers. Patty was a shopper, a keeper of many things and believed if you gave her 50%, she would have to repay 100%.

Patty was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, mother, Su-Hon Horng and beloved son, Antony Ma. She is survived by her father, Song Rong Horng (Sarah), Brothers, Peter, Charlie (Michelle) daughters Sandia (Gabe) and Cindy, and John Horng (Rong Rong) daughter Raina, her daughter, Amy Ma (Eric), daughter-in-law, Kim Lam, and other great uncles, great aunts, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and a great niece throughout Texas, New York, New Jersey, California and Taiwan.
