Obituary for Philip Luong
Philip Luong of Sugar Land, TX passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 82.
Philip was born on June 28, 1939, in the Guangzhou province to Si Ming Liang (mother) and Te Sen Luong (father) and spent part of his childhood in Vietnam. He then left to go study at the prestigious National Chengchi University (NCCU). Philip Luong spent many years working as a manager and businessman in both Vietnam and Taiwan in retail/merchandise trading.
Philip is blessed to have a large and growing family. He met his wife Cathy (Shuen Miao Tzeng), in the late 1970s, and left for America in 1984 to start a new and wonderful life. They were engaged and married on August 30th, 1987. Philip then spent the next 30 years working in the retail/merchandise business, retiring in the last 10 years, in which he spent traveling the world, watching Youtube videos and movies, and spending time with family.
Philip is preceded in death by his sister: Anh Van Lee, mother – Si Ming Liang, and father – Te Sen Luong, and is survived by his wife Cathy, and son: Steven. Philip is preceded in death by his former wife: Jenny Sung and survived by daughters: Lillian and Jennifer, and son: Jeff. He is also survived by his granddaughter: Claudia, and by his brother: Peter Luong.
