Obituary for Prabhakar Kulkarni
Prabhakar B Kulkarni passed away on February 16, 2021 at 9:15 pm in Houston, Texas. He leaves behind his wife, Sundara Kulkarni and his daughters Aparna Kulkarni and Anita Kulkarni and their spouses and 3 grandchildren.
PB ( as he was lovingly called by many) was a kind and gentle man and a peacemaker and eternal optimist by nature. PB’s pride and joy in life was his family. Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than talking to anyone about his wife, daughters and 3 adoring grandchildren Riya, Esha and Siddarth . He also had an unwavering love and was so proud of his siblings - his sisters Indu, Malu and Rami and his brothers Gopi and Sharad. Although he was a man of few words he reveled in and celebrated their successes and comforted them during difficult periods in their lives.
He was a champion and deep believer in the power of education. He was a very educated man with 2 Masters degrees and a PhD in Engineering in addition to an MBA. He believed in the transformative power of education and with that in mind he supported the education of many people ( especially girls and women) in India both financially and with his encouragement and support.
A Hindu cremation ceremony is being held for Prabhakar Kulkarni on Saturday, February 20, 2021. PB we know you will always be guiding us and you will continue to be the pillar of strength and stability you have always been to our family.
