Obituary for Rahul Dilip Shah
With tremendous grief and deep sorrow, we convey the passing of Rahul Shah on Monday, January 18th, 2021 at the age of 39. Rahul battled courageously these last few years with a heart condition and will be missed by his parents, Dilip and Dharmishtha (Dhamu) Shah, his beloved sister, Purvy, brother-in-law Nilay, his caring family, and countless friends.
Rahul was a devoted son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. He helped everyone and was steadfast in his commitment to family first and friends always.
To say Rahul was a sports fan is too mild. All knew that Rahul loved sports, regardless of which sport. He could provide the latest scores, news and updates at any given moment. Naturally, he was a lifelong fan of his beloved Rockets, Texans, Astros, and his alma-mater, The University of Texas Longhorns. We all knew this because of his extensive wardrobe of shirts, jerseys and hats, demonstrating unwavering support.
Prior to passing, Rahul was an expert Tax Preparer at H&R Block. He thrived in this role and will be dearly missed by his colleagues and clients.
Rahul's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the health-care professionals at St. Luke's Hospital, for their extraordinary care and commitment over these last several years.
Rahul was taken far too soon, but we find some solace and comfort in these words by Helen Keller: "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.” Rahul will forever live in our thoughts, mind and hearts.
Funeral cremation services will be held Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at 1:30 PM Central time. Due to COVID-19, a live webcast will be available for those who want to pay their last respects and to provide support, thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
