Obituary

Celebrating a Life In loving memory of Raoji Ambalal Patel
March 19, 1943 – April 13, 2020

Raoji Ambalal Patel was born in Marida, Gujarat. Raised in India, he is the third of eight children of Ambalal & Chanchalben Patel.

He was the first in his family to come to United States to pursue a degree in Engineering in Youngstown, Ohio. Throughout his life, he enjoyed socializing with friends & family, loved listening to music & playing dholak, and had great passion for his engineering/architectural projects. From a young age, he always enjoyed different cuisines from all around the world and would be eager to try new foods when presented with the opportunity. Also, he loved planning long extended road trips with his family using AAA Maps. He loved telling stories from the past to his family and friends where he would indulge us in all details no matter how small.

Raoji is survived by Bharti, his beloved wife, of 53 years of marriage and a proud father to his two daughters and four grandchildren: Rita, married to Dr. Shatish Patel, grandsons Hemal and Aryan, and Bina, married to Dr. Sunil Vachhani, grandsons Krishan and Jayan. Every week, he cherished spending as much time as he could with his family creating memories with each of them.

He was always inviting, generous, and extremely giving. His memory and spirit will live in our hearts forever. He will always be loved and greatly missed by everyone who crossed his path.

Raoji uncle, we are going to miss you so much. You always took Richa and I as your own daughters. Both of us are going to miss being greeted with a hug when we came to see you. You were an amazing human being and a dad to us. Every time dad went to India, if we needed any advice we would always come to you. May your soul Rest In Peace, you have left a huge void in all our hearts. We just got another angel. Love you

Nirali

Bina and your beloved family,

Dear Bina and family,
The lessons taught by a father as loving and wise as yours will last a lifetime. May you always feel his presence in your heart.
Though I only knew him for a brief time, I know that he was truly a special man and loved by all!
May you always feel his spirit nearby.

Warmest Condolences,
Lisa and Jon Fenstermacher

Thank you for the honor of the opportunity to meet your father. He was a very special man. I will never forget his generosity when we talked of our faith. He has such an ease when he spoke. He is indeed a patriarch that will never be forgotten.
May he rest in peace, Love, Peggy Turpin
