Celebrating a Life In loving memory of Raoji Ambalal Patel
March 19, 1943 – April 13, 2020
Raoji Ambalal Patel was born in Marida, Gujarat. Raised in India, he is the third of eight children of Ambalal & Chanchalben Patel.
He was the first in his family to come to United States to pursue a degree in Engineering in Youngstown, Ohio. Throughout his life, he enjoyed socializing with friends & family, loved listening to music & playing dholak, and had great passion for his engineering/architectural projects. From a young age, he always enjoyed different cuisines from all around the world and would be eager to try new foods when presented with the opportunity. Also, he loved planning long extended road trips with his family using AAA Maps. He loved telling stories from the past to his family and friends where he would indulge us in all details no matter how small.
Raoji is survived by Bharti, his beloved wife, of 53 years of marriage and a proud father to his two daughters and four grandchildren: Rita, married to Dr. Shatish Patel, grandsons Hemal and Aryan, and Bina, married to Dr. Sunil Vachhani, grandsons Krishan and Jayan. Every week, he cherished spending as much time as he could with his family creating memories with each of them.
He was always inviting, generous, and extremely giving. His memory and spirit will live in our hearts forever. He will always be loved and greatly missed by everyone who crossed his path.
